MARK SCOTT

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mark joined Hastings Deering in 2013 and has held key senior executive leadership roles, including responsibility for strategy, marketing, technology, resource industries and Chief Operating Officer.

Mark was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director for the Hastings Deering Group on 1 July 2021 and is responsible for one of the largest Caterpillar dealerships globally. As CEO, Mark leads a team of more than 3,500 employees across Caterpillar dealerships in four countries including Australia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.
 
Prior to joining Hastings Deering, Mark held a number of senior leadership roles at international, blue-chip companies. Mark has more than 25 years industry and international experience and has held senior executive leadership roles responsible in a range of areas including corporate strategy, international sales and marketing, business development and country and regional operational accountabilities. 

Mark is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, having completed its flagship Advanced Management Program in 2017. In addition, Mark holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong.
